Job Title: Business Development Manager
We are looking for a motivated Business Development Manager to join our fast growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative and innovative team who has a proven record of hitting and exceeding sales targets.
Working across some of the hottest, high growth markets, this role will be best suited to a quick thinker who can spot a commercial opportunity.
The objective of this role is to grow small / medium existing accounts whilst also focusing on generating new business revenues. You will be selling to a range of global clients; therefore a track record of pitching to multiple vendor types that have a variety of marketing objectives is preferred. Strong communication skills and a basic knowledge of media and publishing would also be advantageous.

Build relationships with an existing client base
Generate and qualify new sales leads for new business
Write and send effective email sales drivers
Hit weekly KPIs for call times and qualified proposals
Achieving monthly / quarterly sales targets
Portfolio selling: manage and take ownership of the annual sales cycle
Build sales strategy with direct report, Marketing and Content team
Meet sales target and beyond with a desire to exceed expectations
Be proactive in the marketing, build and maintain relationships with existing clients while bringing in new business
Excellent skills in writing proposals and tenacious follow up
Work closely with the Asia regional offices to pro-actively develop cross-selling opportunities
Conduct competitive intelligence
Travel as required.
Skills & Personal Attributes
Degree qualification within a scientific field is desirable yet not essential.
Experience in B2B sales or account management
Excellent management, interpersonal and communication skills
Solid understanding and ability to demonstrate core sales skills (questioning, needs analysis, pitching, closing)
Ambitious, driven to succeed, passionate about growth
Good negotiator with ability to successfully deal with objections and close
Professional standard of presentation at all times
Administration skills - organised and well-prepared
Ability to meet deadlines and work comfortably under pressure
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to identify new revenue opportunities.
