Job Title: Business Development Executive

Role Overview

  • Due to a restructure in our team, we are hiring an additional Business Development Executive to generate new businesses and establish new client base
  • To excel in this role, you should have a compelling sales personality, and a hunger to chase and close new business from cold calls and inbound warm leads
  • The appointees will report to the Head, Business Development
  • The candidate must be a self -managed individuals with extensive business development experience to the general business in the construction, Oil/Gas, manufacturing and/or services industry
  • He/she must ensure Marketing efficiency and profitability

Responsibilities

  • Generating Revenue from sales activities
  • Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings.
  • Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives.
  • Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities.
  • Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones.
  • Finding and developing new markets and improving sales.
  • Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events.
  • Developing goals for business growth and ensuring they are met.
  • Research and identify new business opportunities
  • Direct and co-ordinate activities involving sales of the company Products & Services
  • Managing and retaining existing clients and developing new channels of business
  • Job involves meeting and exceeding the company set target and increasing the company clientele database
  • Confer or consult with department head to plan advertising services and to secure information on clients' needs and customer specification
  • Liaise with potential Customer regarding procurement, construction and other engineering consulting/project needs and solutions
  • Develop appropriate follow-up programs to ensure success of the proposal submitted.
  • Generate business mandates from clients.
  • Make presentations, and modifications on processes, to guarantee more efficient service delivery for maintaining client relationship
  • Any other function as may be directed by management.
  • Identifies new business opportunities for business growth with both existing and potential customers.
  • Keeps up to date information and analysis about the company's product, services and competition, using SWOT and other tools.
  • Ensures that records are made and kept on details of inquiries, comments and complaints as well as the actions taken.
  • Ensures that all required customer meeting is scheduled, attended punctually and documented.

Requirements

  • Ability to work under pressure and tight reporting schedule.
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Interested candidates must be comfortable with working in a target driven environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
  • Must have minimum 2 years’ experience post NYSC in a marketing or administrative role with tangible results to show
  • Experience in sales, marketing especially in the engineering, construction and technical services is an added advantage.
  • Strong communication skills and IT fluency.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Comfortable using a computer for various tasks.

Salary

  • N80,000 - N120,000 based on experience.
