We are a Public Service Organization in Nigeria currently recruiting qualified and highly skilled candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Assistant Chief Mechanical Engineer

Location: Nigeria
Grade: Level 13

Job Description

  • The successful candidates who should be self-motivated and result-oriented will work closely with other Architects, Quantity Surveyors, Engineers and Contractors who are responsible for designs, supervision of construction and maintenance of buildings and road projects to provide the highest level of project outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop Comprehensive Brief and Mechanical Design Report
  • Generate Mechanical Drawings
  • Coordinate with QS to generate initial budget
  • Coordinate with Architect and Design Team to review design drawings
  • Review BEME & Appraise Proposals
  • Coordinate with Architects to prepare documentation for award of contracts
  • Partake in and Coordination of Organization and Site Meetings
  • Make recommendations to QS to aid Mechanical- related Valuations
  • Approve Plumbing samples and ensure Mechanical Services related quality control
  • Carry out snagging before practical completion
  • Coordinate with Architects to close out projects.
  • Any other ad hoc assignments that may be given from time to time.

Qualifications

  • B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent
  • Minimum of 10 years post qualification experience.
  • Excellent Knowledge and a good track record of mechanical design of high profile and complex buildings and construction supervision
  • Proficiency in AutoCad, Revit (Concept! Construction Documentation) Microsoft Project (Project Management) or other software
  • Being a fully registered member of engineering professional bodies such as NSE, NIME, COREN e.t.c. would be an added advantage.

Conditions of Service

  • The remuneration and other conditions of service are as applicable as in the Public Service in Nigeria.
