System Administrator

Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Job Description

  • To provide troubleshooting and consulting support for the management of IBEDC’s Directory Services technologies

Responsibilities

  • Manages Active Directory 2008/2012infrastructure for the Enterprise – leads the design, implementation, and support of a highly available multi-domain directory infrastructure platform
  • Maintains and advances IBEDC’s network directory structure to support standards-based directory services
  • Engineers assess and review future directory architecture solutions, 3rd party directory management tools/applications and implement life cycle maintenance processes
  • Runs operations of the Directory Services infrastructure and supports problem-solving for directories, applications, and other solutions owned by the Directory Services team – leads the problem management for recurrent or complex issues

Requirements
Educational Qualification:

  • A university degree in Computer Science or related fields

Professional Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)
  • Server+ (CompTIA)
  • Oracle Linux System Administrator (Oracle)

Desired Experience:

  • At least 5+ years’ experience in Active Directory Architectural Design (deployment and support for medium to large organizations), and Microsoft Exchange Server 2010/2013 (design, deployment and support).

Functional Competence Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of Windows 2008r2 and 2012, 2016 Server administration
  • Working knowledge of Windows 7, 8 workstation deployment including the creation and management of Workstation images and related imaging systems
  • Ability to work as part of a driven cross-functional Networking, Operations and IT team
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written
  • Deep understanding of Virtualization, Vmware/Hyper-V
  • Experience designing and developing PowerShell scripts to provide automation for common tasks relating to Active Directory and Exchange
  • Ability to troubleshoot SMTP related issues
  • Demonstrated expertise in design and configuration of DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP.
