A leading Independent oil exploration and production company in Nigeria requires the services of experienced and dynamic candidates for the position below:
Job Title: Electrical Engineer
The ideal candidates must be licensed Electrical Engineer with extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in the design, development, installation and maintenance of electrical systems and or/components eg, power generation and distribution, systems, motors, control systems and electrical equipment utilized far hydrocarbon production.
The candidates must be able to lead and manage multiple concurrent projects, work in a team environment, and be able to effectively communicate within and outside the company.
They must have worked at senior level in a similar position for at least ten (10) years in a reputable E&P Company.
Qualifications and Required Competencies
Minimum of Bachelor of Science degree or HND in Electrical Engineering from accredited University / Polytechnics with a minimum of Second Class Upper division. A master’s degree in any of the relevant Engineering disciplines will be an added advantage
A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in an E&P company
Must be a licensed professional engineer
Experience in relevant and required electrical software
Must have knowledge of applicable codes related 3:0 electrical / electronic engineering
Proficient in design and calculation software
Must be very analytical and capable delivering results
Must be capable of working with multi-functional teams in project execution.
Minimum Knowledge and Experience:
Monitor and ensure efficient performance of the electrical and electronic systems
Carry out In-depth analyses of problems and identify long term solutions and/or remedial options
Ensuring electrical systems, installations and operations meet and conform to standards, statutory and regulatory requirements.
Responsible for preparing electrical systems specifications, technical drawings, or topographical maps
Provide electrical and production installation support with maintenance, planning, delivery and troubleshooting activities
Provide technical, engineering support and guidance to offshore/on-site teams regarding Installation and maintenance of electrical systems
Ensure activities comply with relevant industry and company codes and standards
Responsible for maintaining electrical equipment and the preparation of specifications for the purchase of electrical equipment and materials.
