Job Title: Draftsman (Cement Industry)

Job type: Full time

Job Summary

  • Manage and control project drawing and documentation.
  • Supervise the CAD design activities performed by CAD Engineers.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the conduct of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) plant and process design and maintenance of associated CAD data.
  • Act as the single point contact for CAD Standards.
  • Perform drawing and model audits to verify standards are being followed.
  • Ensure error free drawings, and timely delivery of drawings.
  • Ensure drafting including drawing format, numbers and revisions are in compliance with using appropriate standards for drafting.
  • Coordinate the development of Process Flow Diagram and multi-discipline Process & Instrumented Diagrams.
  • Perform quality checks during different stages of drafting activity to ensure the quality of drawings.
  • Liaise with relevant department/ team regarding new and revised prints.
  • Assist in designing and drawing up new equipment according to the defined specifications
  • Create and revise production drawings (detail and assembly drawings).
  • Responsible for setting up and maintaining an organised file system for Production Drawings.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head, Mechanical.

Requirements
Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Engineering or any relevant Science discipline.
  • A minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience.
  • Skills and Competencies
  • Advanced knowledge of Design Systems software.
  • Experience with Engineering Client CAD Standards.
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing technology.
  • Ability to provide technical support on software issues
  • Strong skills in documenting procedures.
  • Microsoft and Computer Software/Hardware experience
  • Excellent communication skills and problem-solving skills
  • Good problem analysis and solving skills.
