Job Title: Chief Security Officer (CSO)

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Description

This is a senior management position which requires the holder to be vested with crucial and strategic managerial responsibilities.
Candidates will represent the company in high profile business meetings with other companies and relate with various publics that the business has to deal with on a regular basis.
The position calls for candidates with absolute business integrity all round professionalism, excellence, creativity drive and determination, a value adding legacy and verifiable track record.

Job Duties

Manage and provide effective leadership to the security team.
Develop and implement strategic secunty protocols and procedures
Ensure adequate professional training of all company security operatives.
Act as liaison officer between the company, community, clients and other agencies on security related issues
Overall supervision of security operatives to ensure stability in securityoperations.
Carryout background vetting of operatives and any other staff from time to time.
Secures premises and personnel by patrolling; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entiy.
Maintains organization’s stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
Ensure zero tolerance to security breach and failure, e.g: Theft and Burglary.

Qualifications and Experience

A good Honors Degree in any discipline with at least Second Class (Upper Division) from a recognized University and not less than thirteen (13) years experience in the police or the Armed Forces/Security Services not below the rank of Superintendent of Police or its equivalent;
Age between 45-55 years preferably.

Basic Requirements:

Intelligence gathering skills.
Security drill design, implementation and reporting abilities
Shift scheduling skills
Incident investigation & reporting skills
Law Enforcement relations
Computer Literacy.
