We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Trainee Assistant Teacher

Location: Kaduna
Employment Type: Internship

Job Description / Responsibilities
This is an entry-level Teaching Assistant Internship Program running for 12 months. The candidate will be responsible for:

  • Helping Teachers with lesson preparation, including collecting materials and setting up equipment
  • Reviewing lessons with pupil on a one-on-one basis or in small groups
  • Supervising pupils in class, between classes and during recreation periods and field trips
  • Tracking attendance
  • Giving extra help to pupils who need special accommodations or are struggling with a concept
  • Assisting pupils with special learning requirements, including disabilities or English as a second language students
  • Attending teammeetings and parent conferences
  • Collaborating with the Teacher to identifyissues and recommend solutions
  • Observing state, school and class rules and regulations

Job Requirements

  • Must have an interest in building a teaching career
  • Degree Certification in Education or Additional qualification of PGDE
  • Computer literacy
  • A minimum of Second Class Lower in the relevant field.
  • A minimum of one year of teaching experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, including writing, public speaking and interpersonal conversation
  • Great organization and planning skills
  • Ability to engage students of all learning levels and grade levels
  • Patience and empathy
  • Compassionate, positive and encouraging attitude.
