Job Title: Software QA Analyst

Location: Lagos
Job Type: Full Time
Duration: 6 Month (Renewable) Contract

Job Summary

  • We are looking for a QA Analyst to assess software quality through manual and automated testing
  • You will be responsible for finding and reporting bugs and glitches
  • Ultimately, you will ensure that our products, applications and systems work correctly
  • Familiar with software development cycle and quality assurance methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze system specifications
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to review and analyze business and functional requirements and design documents for sound testing strategies
  • Responsible for testing of a product, including writing the test plans and test cases, writing automation scripts, and testing the complete application from the UI through to the backend
  • Maintain requirements traceability with test case coverage
  • Create logs to document testing phases and defects
  • Report bugs and errors to development teams
  • Provide expertise in understanding what to test, as well as how it should be tested
  • Perform test methodology best practices as defined by departmental standards
  • Facilitate testing meetings, summarize results, issue/defect reporting, maintain metrics and provide go/no go recommendation
  • Review software and production issues as they occur for a holistic analysis of the impacts and possible causes
  • Create, execute, and document test plans and test cases (Beta, UAT, Integration, Regression, End-to-End), ensuring functional coverage and application performance
  • Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results
  • Evaluate product code according to specifications
  • Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

  • B.Sc / B.A in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
  • Ability to work effectively with little supervision and strong attention to detail in a team environment
  • Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role
  • Experience in project management and QA methodology
  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus
  • Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
  • Working knowledge of test management software (e.g. qTest, Zephyr) and SQL
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
  • Strong organizational skills.

Salary

  • Below N50,000 monthly.
