We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Software Engineer (Android)

Location: Lagos
Type: Full-Time

Details

  • This requires us to cater to the teeming population of Android mobile app users across the continent. We're looking for a Software engineer(Android focused) to help us achieve this goal.

You Will Be

  • Designing and developing advanced applications for the Android platform
  • Working with engineers, product managers, designers, and stakeholders across the company to bring new features and products to our customers.
  • Working with user research and product design to understand users and address their needs
  • Performing Unit-testing code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
  • Working with other engineers to perform bug fixes and improving application speed, usability, and performance.

Requirements

  • Experience with developing apps with Android SDK
  • Strong knowledge of Kotlin, Java
  • 2+ years of experience developing Android mobile applications, with at least 1 sample project on the google play store.
  • Working knowledge of AAC and android Jetpack
  • Familiarity with Room, LiveData, Coroutines, Retrofit, WorkManager, etc
  • Ability to use git
  • Strong computer science fundamentals, algorithms, and data structures background
  • Close familiarity with software engineering tools, software development methodology, TDD, and release processes is a big advantage.
