Job Description

  • The ideal candidate would be responsible for coordinating marketing activities and events; servicing and management of existing key accounts and clients, as well as actively developing new accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Liaising and building relationships with a range of stakeholders, e.g. customers, suppliers, colleagues.
  • Grass root marketing for our leagues and tournaments.
  • Maintaining and updating clients databases.
  • Respond to and follow up sales enquiries by post, telephone, and personal visits.
  • Organising and attending events and exhibitions.
  • Carrying out market research and customer surveys to assess demand, brand positioning and awareness.
  • Actively contributing to long-term marketing plans and strategies.
  • Prepare written proposals; re-evaluate potential business value of various events and clients; initiate contractual arrangements.

Required Qualifications

  • B.Sc / BA in Marketing, Business Administration, or relevant discipline with a minimum of 4 years experience.
  • Proven experience as a marketing executive or similar role in the sports sector.
  • Good understanding of market research techniques, data analysis, and statistics methods
  • Thorough knowledge of strategic planning principles and marketing best practices
  • Proficient in MS Office and marketing software (e.g. CRM)
  • Familiarity with social media and web analytics (e.g. WebTrends)
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Creativity and commercial awareness.
