1 Hundred HR Consult - Our client is a high-tech company in the Renewable Energy Industry. The company has offices at Abuja-FCT, Lekki - Lagos State, Awka - Anambra State and with business partners at major cities around Nigeria. The company has repositioned itself as a pioneer indigenous manufacturer and Distributor of power solutions for domestic, industrial and telecoms applications. With their international contacts in the USA, Asia and Europe, they have been able to deliver quality products and Services at competitive prices for a highly dynamic market like Nigeria.

They specialize in R&D, manufacturing and marketing of power solutions products and system, with their priority being leaving positive sustainable imprints in the environment.

They are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Summary

  • The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the management of information technologies, insurance, sales tax reporting, federal income tax reporting, outside audits and human resources.
  • The individual may also perform cash management functions and oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash disbursements, payroll and bank reconciliation functions.
  • He or she will in essence be responsible for the financial and regulatory compliance. The individual will be reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively manage cashflow and resource planning to enable delivery of efficiency.
  • Manage all accounting operations including billing, account receivables, account payable, cost accounting, inventory accounting and revenue recognition.
  • Assist the CFO in coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

Qualification and Requirements

  • Degree in Accountancy, Business Administration, Economics or related degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience practicing accountancy at mid-management level.
  • Relevant certification (ICAN or ACCA).
  • Experience in the energy sector will be an advantage.
