Job Title: General Manager / Operations Manager

Location: Lagos

Job Responsibilities

The General Manager / Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations of the hotel and provide the direction for the hotel; He will also guide the employees to work as a well-functioning team.
He must be a team player and a result oriented leader.
Closely monitor the hotels business reports on a daily basis and take decisions accordingly.
Responsible for Occupational Health & Safety Act, fire regulations and other legal requirements.
Ensure full compliance to Hotel operating controls, SOPТs, policies, procedures and service standards.
Hold regular briefings and meetings with all head of departments.
Ensure all decisions are made in the best interest of the hotels and management
Handling complaints, and oversee the service recovery procedures
Maximizing room yield and hotel / lounges/ bar revenue through innovative sales practices and yield management programs.
Be accountable for responsibilities of department heads and take ownership of all guest complaints.
Provide effective leadership to hotel team members.
Lead in all aspects of business planning.

Education

A University degree in Hotel Management or a related field with Experience in opening, managing or re-positioning a hotel/lounge with clear track record. Excellent computer system skills.
MBA will be an advantage.

Requirements:

Nigerian or Foreigner who must have worked in a 5 Star Hotel as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager or Operations Manager.
Must have at least 7 Years Experience in the hospitality industry and has a good rapport with hotel booking departments of various local and international companies who do long stay hotel bookings.
Proven experience as a General Manager or relevant role.
Fluency in English. Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
Top level managerial experience with an eye for details.
Candidate must have Executive Presence.
Able to put a system in place to ensure quality control.
A good knowledge of the local market.
