Project Background
- The Global Action Towards Epidemic control in Sub-national units in Nigeria (4GATES) program is a five year (2017-2022), United States Center for Disease Control (CDC) funded HIV/AIDS care, treatment and support program implemented across Faith-based and Government owned health facilities in Delta, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo States. Catholic Relief Services is part of the 4GATES consortium, which is led by Caritas Nigeria and includes, Catholic Relief Services (CRS), Pro-Health International and Palladium. CRS supports the implementation of the Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) component of the 4GATES project.
- The household identification and enrollment are a key component of the 4Gates project for bringing on board beneficiaries for service delivery in line with project objectives.
- The exercise is to enable the program to register all eligible beneficiaries by SAPR with data on basic services provided within the reporting period. CRS therefore seeks to engage ad-hoc staff to support household identification and enrolment.
General Objectives
- The objectives of the assignment are as follows:
- Support CSOs and CVs in identifying HHs within targeted communities and health facilities eligible for enrolment.
- To support CSOs and community volunteers in assessing and enrolling all households and children identified.
- Do appropriate documentation for all enrolment.
- To enter data into NOMIS.
Specific Responsibilities
- Support CSOs and CVs in identifying HHs within targeted communities and health facilities eligible for enrolment.
- To conduct weekly review with CSOs to ensure effective coordination of the assessment and enrolment.
- To provide support for community volunteers on the field.
- To participate in the data entry, validation and analysis of the data on NOMIS.
- To Prepare weekly and end of activity report.
Deliverables
This activity is expected to have the following outcomes:
- Beneficiaries identified and enrolled.
- Review and clean data before entry into NOMIS.
- Support CSOs and data collectors/clerks to enter data into NOMIS.
- Available data on program outcomes for improved programming and decision making.
- Produce report of the exercise.
