Job Title: Marketing & Trade Marketing Manager

Location: Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria

Summery

  • The Role is responsible for developing, implementing and executing strategic and cost-effective marketing plans for the company in line with the business and brands plans/needs of the company in order to attract potential customers and retain existing ones.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare annual marketing and consumer plan
  • Monitor volume and share growth against the plan and recommend necessary revision and solutions
  • Develop strategies to ensure effective and measurable in-store execution of promotional items
  • Responsible for achieving results through the development and execution of marketing plans (online and offline)
  • Direct marketing planning meetings to evaluate current techniques and formulate new plans
  • Conduct surveys to better pinpoint potential markets for products in the retail sector
  • Managing all marketing for the company and activities within the marketing department
  • Developing the marketing strategy for the company in line with company objectives
  • Co-ordinating marketing campaigns with sales activities
  • Overseeing the company's marketing budget
  • Evaluate various marketing strategies to better understand areas where improvement can be made
  • Implement online marketing campaigns to drive new leads and trials, including email marketing, newsletters, SEM (paid search), social media, mobile
  • Support the Customer Segment Marketing and Sales Teams by executing marketing plans to achieve specific product or customer objectives and business plans
  • Develop marketing and brand strategies to support organizational objectives
  • Create a trade marketing strategy and communicating this to the marketing team
  • Provide leadership and direction in the implementation of marketing plans, including direct response, marketing events, promotions, and advertisements. Develop, create, and manage timelines and project workload for initiatives
  • Contribute to the development and execution of marketing campaigns to drive awareness, increase sales, and create loyalty
  • Analyze campaigns, web metric trends and provide fast, accurate reports to improve and/or add functionality in order to gain the best ROI for the organization Marketing Plan Implementation
  • Work collaboratively with Marketing and Sales teams to identify and support marketing plans and tactics to achieve prospect trial and sales objectives
  • Track, monitor, and evaluate results for specific marketing programs and campaigns, to determine ROI and support the development and refinement of future marketing plans
  • Initiate / Assist efforts to strengthen the brand identity, awareness, and consistency. Be the “brand champion”
  • Conceptualize and execute marketing creative. Immerse in all aspects of the creative process; including conceptualizing how and when to use marketing materials and capture the target audience, and brainstorming and working with internal resources. Implement brand-building tactics, and recommend new ideas to increase brand awareness in the category
  • Working closely with design agencies and assisting with new product launches as it relates to label designs, creative and print before handover for production and trade
  • Ensure that all brand communications in trade is aligned with the company standards
  • Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant company functions are kept informed of marketing objectives
  • Analyze potential strategic partner relationships for company marketing
  • All statutory compliance with regards to all Marketing Activities

Qualifications

  • BA / B.Sc. / HND in Business / Arts related discipline plus MBA -Marketing
  • Professional Qualification in Marketing/Advertising
  • Advanced Diploma/Masters in Marketing/Business Admin , or related discipline
  • Certification in Project/Brand Management.

Experience:

  • 7-10 years’ cognate experience in Marketing.
  • 3 - 5 years in Managerial roles
