Aspilos Charity & Development Foundation also known as Aspilos Foundation (AF) is a non-governmental, non-political and not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of human life.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Communications Specialist

Job Location: Abuja

Job Type: Full-Time, Internship (Full-Time)
Start date: 1st April 2020.

Job Description
Content & Publication:

  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement an effective communications strategy based on our target audience.
  • Write, edit, and distribute content, including publications, press releases, website content, annual reports, speeches, and other marketing material that communicates the organization's activities, products and/or services.
  • Work with other employees to curate project-driven content for the organisation's blogs and social media accounts.
  • Assist technical staff with public outreach/awareness campaigns.
  • Create positive PR opportunities for Aspilos Foundation through engagement on social media.

Community Management:

  • Engage with stakeholders, development and government agencies, customers/clients, etc. through the various channels.
  • Respond to media inquiries, arrange interviews, and act as a spokesperson for the organization.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with journalists, and maintain a media database.
  • Maintain the highest standards and global best practices of communication at all times.
  • Seek opportunities to enhance the reputation of the brand, and coordinate publicity events as required.

Research:

  • Maintain records of media coverage and collate analytics and metrics.
  • Carry out a quarterly evaluation on the communication patterns on all platforms.

Requirements

  • Min Qualification: OND
  • Experience: 0-1
