We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: New Media Officer

Location: Abuja
Department: New Media
Reports to: Team Lead

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Team Lead, the New Media Officer will develop and implement digital marketing initiatives; advertising campaigns that will promote the company's products and services on social networking and other online platforms .
S/He will build effective promotional strategies, be familiar with different media types from offline to the digital advertising channels and have solid skills in digital content creation.
Ultimately, increase the public interest of the company through thoughtful media campaigns while ensuring our advertising cost are within budget.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Be good in the management of digital channels and measure ROI and KPIs
Prepare and manage digital marketing campaigns and budget
Actively engage users on all social network accounts and manage user comments on social network accounts.
Monitor competition and provide suggestions for improvement
Manage newsletter account via Mail Chimp; manage subscriptions and post weekly newsletters to subscribed members.
Develop and organize a wide variety of traditional and electronic contents including articles, presentations, brochures, letters, press releases, web pages, blog and social media posts and direct mail campaigns.
Act as an editorial reviewer for various communications including articles, letters, mass emails, marketing collateral, brochures and advertisements.
Provide weekly/monthly reports of activities and results
Respond to public information inquiries and be part of the company's liaison team for new media efforts across the various platforms Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Blog etc.
Make the company's products and services viral online.
Create relevant content to be used on platforms
Suggest a policy and a process for creating and posting content to multiple target websites.
Manage newsletter account via Mail Chimp; manage subscriptions and post weekly newsletters to subscribed members.
Create new campaigns to reach a broader audience.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision & be able to deliver on time.
Assist team lead in building long-term relationships with media influencers to promote our brand.
Maintenance and improvement of web content, including content generation, user interface and experience, site functionality and brand consistency.
Act as an editorial reviewer for various communications including articles, letters, mass emails, marketing collateral, brochures and advertisements.
Actively engage users on all social network accounts and manage user comments on social network accounts.
Provide weekly reports regarding viewership, followership and subscribers.
Work with other departments in regards to new media.
Other duties as assigned.

Education Qualifications, Experience, Skills And Competencies

First degree from a reputable high institution
Minimum 3 years relevant experience as a New Media expert
Data Analysis
Writing and editing skills
SEO & SEM
Listening skills
Email marketing skills
Consumer Relationship Management (CRM)
Social media skills & Paid Social Media Advertising skills
Basic design skills (Canva, photoshop, etc.)
Mobile marketing
Experience with corporate advertising/campaigns
Exceptional knowledge of digital marketing.
