Logistics Manager

Location: Rivers

Job Overview

The position will be responsible for managing Logistics related contracts, ensuring value for money as well as implementing logistics strategies for efficient operations. The role will drive logistics performance and profitability, optimize fulfillment as well as develop and execute strategies that continually enhance the logistics function, regionally and globally.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Manages logistics operations within the organization while providing expertise in controls and documentation for all types of moves.
  • Works with relevant departments to identify needs and ensure inbound and outbound transportation are arranged to meet operational needs.
  • Forecasts trends and issues that may impact the future movement of goods
  • Develops and implements logistics strategies to deliver the organization’s overall goal
  • Manages complex strategic logistics projects through a combination of leadership and subject-matter expertise

SKILLS

  • Ability to inject industry best practices, for managing logistics services and contracts.
  • Always operate to the highest productivity and competitive standards.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strategic thinker and practical executor.
  • Tactful and diplomatic when dealing with tense situations.
  • Knowledge of importing and forwarding.
  • Experienced in multi-drop transport management.
  • Have excellent standards of numeracy.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel, Word, Power-point, etc.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Qualification: A degree in any related course
  • .Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ working experience
