We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head of Business Development

Location: Lagos

Objective

  • The Head of Business Development is responsible for managing the organisation’s business development ensuring consistent and rapid growth in all company’s business segment
  • He/She will report to the Operations Director.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate potential opportunities, partners and clients for company in business segments namely: Drilling Services, Instrumentation and Control Services, Technical Assistance services, Telecommunication services and Other services in line with business strategy
  • Lead the formulation, execution and monitoring of company’s business development, market penetration strategies and plans for enhancing business growth.
  • Manage client expectations throughout the sales cycle and closing process to ensure quality service delivery.
  • Negotiating business contracts with clients and ensuring their profitability.
  • Working with the marketing team to devise marketing materials and tools to support new business teams.
  • Monitor company performance against agreed business target.
  • Lead the preparation of bids/proposals.
  • Develop and implement a training and development program for the improved performance of all team members.
  • Carry out other tasks as assigned by the management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years proven experience working in a senior business development role in the Nigerian oil and gas industry
  • Proven track record of generating new business and achieving revenue growth
  • Natural leader and motivator of sales and business development teams
  • Ability to develop business cases
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of Second Class Upper Degree in a relevant field
  • Master's Degree and / or professional qualification is an added advantage.
