Eden Solutions and Resources Limited - Our client, an International School operating with British Curriculum located in Umuahia, Abia State is looking to recruit committed, passionate and well experienced candidate to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head of Academics

Location: Umuahia, Abia
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Plan academic meetings, orientations, trainings and workshops
  • Ensuring all activities are carried out to the highest possible standards and put in place the necessary evaluation and monitoring procedures to ensure both compliance and improvement: such procedures will include teaching, research and management of all resources
  • Ensuring that school HR policies and procedures are implemented
  • Plan budget, schedule and resources for the school and community related activities
  • Coordinate with other Academic Directors in sharing educational and instructional ideas
  • Develop educational process and policies to meet curriculum goals
  • Develop unique and interactive educational programs and courses for students
  • Manage faculty resources, administrative staffs and other school resources
  • Develop and implement development programs
  • Develop and implement academic enhancement programs for students
  • Schedule regular meetings with staffs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of Master’s Degree preferably in education
  • Certification in Teaching
  • Candidate must have relevant work experience (not less than 7 years) as a technical head, supervisor or head of academics in an international school
  • You must possess technical understanding of the British curriculum
  • Candidate must have extensive Leadership & Business Experience
  • Candidate must have an excellent command of English
  • Outstanding organizational and administrative skills
  • Proven experience as a head of academics
  • Must have a very good understanding of the academic disciplines within the school
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Attention to details
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
