Job Title: Head - Early Years

Location: Maitama, Abuja

Job Description

  • We are looking for a diligent and experienced Head - Early Years to monitor teaching and learning activities and ensure all pupils are able to make progress in all areas of learning.
  • He/She should be able to maintain a positive and appropriate educational environment,

Responsibilities

  • The Head-Early years must be passionate about working with children and embrace the school’s vision and mission.
  • Pay key attention to the early year's program and familiarize with the school programme and pupils.
  • Ensure effective delivery of high quality teaching and the maintenance of academic standards.
  • Work with staff to promote best and innovative practice to enrich teaching and learning in the Early Years.
  • Lead the team in ensuring effective communication with parents/carers, colleagues,employees and clients
  • Having overall responsibility for the management of the school's programme of teaching, research and the implementation of the school academic policy.
  • Pay key attention to activities of students (babies, toddler and parents)
  • Monitor teaching and learning activities to ensure all pupils are able to make progress in all areas of learning
  • Maintain a positive and appropriate educational environment, and create a programme that meets the intellectual and emotional needs of all of our pupils.
  • Ensure that the academic standard of the school is of the highest quality and excellence.
  • Assist with the maintenance of storage, inventory and ordering of all equipment, supplies, gifts and prizes, which are specific to the Early Years program.
  • Display and practice an accessible and approachable personality while interacting with parents,scholars and employees.
  • Maintain a positive and appropriate educational environment while creating a programmes that meet the intellectual and emotional needs of all of our pupils.
  • Report school’s progress and activities to Senior management on weekly, quarterly and annual basis.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or as directed by senior management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of B.Sc, B.Ed in related field. Masters degree is an added advantage
  • Must have at least 4 years experience in early years management
  • Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS Curriculum and the early learning goals
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures, effective behaviour management strategies
  • Must specialize in early year’s management and a be good Team leader.
  • Must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of ICT and application of ICT in learning.
