Job Title: Head, Academic Strategy and Delivery

Location: Lagos

Overview

Our client is looking to hire a Head of Academic Strategy and Delivery to take ownership for the strategic planning and delivery of academic programs, build a team, initiate and manage strategic partnerships.

Responsibilities

Identify the right opportunities in the market through secondary and primary market research and develop necessary strategies and recommendations around them.
Design and develop new academic programs by working with subject matter experts and the needs of industry.
Lead the curriculum design, rigour and content curation of programs/courses by working with subject matter experts, faculty and industry leaders.
Define and refine course requirements based on research and feedback from employers, subject matter experts and students.
Design new program activities to improve learning outcomes and experience for faculty, students and guest speakers.
Manage program/course launches and ensure a unified user experience for students all the way from application through to career transition.
Work with cross functional teams including operations and academic affairs to ensure that program delivery is process driven, consistent and of excellent quality.
Deliver on key performance indicators of programs including: learner and faculty satisfaction; metrics around enrollments, retention, completion etc.; and graduate placements.

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of Master’s degree in any discipline.
8+ years of experience with minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in higher education.

Demonstrated experience in managing a team and complex administrative processes
Exceptional oral, interpersonal, writing and presentation skills
Strong work ethic, drive and energy with a result-oriented mindset
Able to effectively interface with senior academicians and industry experts

Positive attitude and demonstrated commitment to excellence
Familiarity with global developments in higher education and strong awareness of the Nigerian education sector.
Strong analytical skills with a track record of developing actionable recommendations from research data.
Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to collaborate and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders including senior industry executives.
Strong research and project management skills.
