Job Title: General Manager

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Objective

  • An experience General Manager to manage the affairs of the Organization
  • The General Manager is responsible for profitably growing and managing the business from end to end by setting the strategic priorities and direction, implementing the corporate vision, and overseeing operations to ensure the achievement of the short and long term goals of the organization

Responsibilities
Strategic Direction:

  • Define and articulatethebusiness strategic direction and ambition, ensuring alignment with the overall strategic objectives as defined by the Board
  • Cascade the strategic objectives of the business to the respective units and locations and champion the implementation of plans for achieving the set goals
  • Provide overall strategic leadership to allbusinesslocations, ensuring that established goals, objectives and plans support overall strategic aspirations
  • Review periodic management reports on the activities of thebusinesslocations for the Board’s review and propose actionable recommendations to ensure that targets are met
  • Monitor the Primary Health sector of the industry including local and global trends to ensure that the business is able to maintain and sharpen its competitive positioning and advantage

Marketing and Business Development:

  • Champion the identification of opportunities to promote the business, and drive its visibility within the sector
  • Liaise with the Commercial Team to drive awareness ofthe businessservice offerings and oversee implementation of same
  • Develop and maintain strategic alliances and relationships with keyorganizations, and partners and champion the formulation of strategic business alliances

Operations:

  • Ensure the development of relevant structures (process, people, and systems) to support the achievement of the vision, goals and objectives of the business
  • Oversee all operations across the various clinic locations
  • Ensure the efficient utilization of financial resources within established policies of the organization, making appropriate and timely financial and management decisions in regards to the business
  • Provide a single point of ownership and accountability for all business services and operations throughout the organization

Collaboration:

  • Work with the Commercial Team to identify opportunities for strategic partnerships, business collaboration, investment and growth, to capture a greater portion of the market
  • Drive the creation of strong and productive working relationships and partnerships for the business with external stakeholders

Qualifications / Experience

  • Possession of a First Degree
  • A postgraduate qualification or an MBA would be an advantage
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience within the HealthCare Sector with at least 5 years in a senior management role

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a high degree of ethical standards and integrity
  • Business /Entrepreneurial Acumen
  • Business and project management skills
  • Excellent communication, business presentation, persuasion and analytical skills
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to quickly establish credibility
  • Digital savvy; must have an understanding of the digital world and the disruptive opportunities being created.
