EjiCareers - Our client, Nairametrics Financial Advocates Limited is a leading financial resource company based in Nigeria. They provide clients (including visitors to their website) with up to date business, investing and financial information from Africa’s largest economy. They also have a consulting arm that provides bespoke financial management services to clients.

They are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Full Stack Developer

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Description

  • As the Full Stack Developer at Nairametrics, the ideal candidate will be part of a cross-functional team that’s responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment. As a Full Stack Developer, you should be comfortable around both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks, and third-party libraries. You should also be a team player with a knack for visual design and utility.
  • The holder of this role will report to the Head of IT at the Head office in Lagos, Nigeria.

Responsibilities

  • Developing front-end website architecture.
  • Experience with Php, Laravel, my sql and javascript.
  • Designing user interactions on web pages.
  • Developing back-end website applications.
  • Creating servers and databases for functionality.
  • Ensuring responsiveness of applications.
  • Seeing through a project from conception to finished product.
  • Staying up to date of developments in web applications and programming languages. Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design
  • Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
  • Write effective APIs

Responsibilities

  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields.
  • Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role
  • Minimum of 3+years as a full stack developer
  • Previous experience in the media industry or a fast-paced Organisation
  • Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML / CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery.
  • Developing new features and improvements across our stack.
  • Writing and delivering functional, performance, and testing JavaScript and PHP to meet engineering standards and business requirements
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Software Development
  • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3
  • Good understanding of all parts of Software Engineering (e.g. Requirements, Design, Implementation, Testing) and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Ability to grasp new technologies quickly
  • Proficient understanding of GIT
  • Good understanding of browser rendering behavior and performance
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around such issues
  • Ability to ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.

Salary
N200,000 - N250,000 monthly and it is negotiable.
