Job Title: Finance Manager - Digital Banking

Job Description

  • The Finance Manager (Digital Banking) will oversee the financial activities of the organization for financial reporting and help management make financial decisions. S/He will manage and interface with managers of other units, implement Group policies and respond to questions and issues concerning Finance and Accounting matters.
  • S/He will be responsible for developing and executing a digital strategy, by creating, implementing, supporting relevant innovative and comprehensive digital solutions and services to various customer segments.
  • The holder of this position will advocate, develop and communicate a digital vision and strategy to all stakeholders across the business and region. They will integrate the value of digital into the business operations model from the perspective of finance, sales revenue, cost savings, and customer experiences and operational efficiencies.
  • They will help drive the organization towards market leadership and be a key advocate of industry digital development related to payments and the delivery of products and services.
  • The position holder will be responsible for driving the adoption of digital banking across client segments and operating units and also develop to scale a digital lending product. They will also manage the translation of technologies into customer journeys and experiences, as well as applying available, emerging and evolving technologies into the operating environment to maintain operational efficiencies across branch and central operations.

Responsibilities
Financial:

  • Prepare, analyze and report financial performance against key business metrics.
  • Prepare budget and regular forecast in conjunction with the requirements of the business.
  • Developing digital strategy for the channels and products.
  • Maintain P&L responsibility for the digital banking lending business.
  • Evaluate the processed accounting information in the system to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget and operating effectiveness of the organization.
  • Oversee daily, monthly, quarterly, etc. closing process.
  • Maintain an understanding of external competitive digital developments and their impact on our business and innovation strategy.
  • Building alliances and partnerships to generate revenue streams through monetization of digital assets.
  • Building alliances for increasing digital footprint (with ecommerce players etc.)
  • Lead self-service e-KYC based digital acquisition & lending for the organization
  • Ensure transactions are completely, accurately and timely captured and recorded.
  • Ensure compliance with audit, SOP, tax reporting, etc.
  • Optimize the business by lowering costs through digitization of processes.

Internal Business Process:

  • Generate ideas funneled towards achieving results in line with the overall strategy, architecting the digital roadmap for the digitization of the customer journeys for service and product delivery.
  • Working with key internal support and control stakeholders (operations, product managers, technology and ops teams, compliance and Legal) to ideate, build and manage smooth processes related to digital business.
  • Control and periodically check operational risks and workflow in conjunction with operations.
  • Drive the system towards service quality standards in an efficient operation where risks are well controlled.
  • Manage fraud risk associated with digital banking.

Customer:

  • Manage all digital channels and products for Customer journeys, competition benchmarking, customer adoption and usage.
  • Design and transform processes that will give the customer an end-to-end exceptional digital experience without compromising on controls.
  • Safeguard both the customer and the organization from financial losses.

Learning and Growth:

  • Bring required new talents and motivate them to create digital human-centric design.
  • Provide leadership for the Finance – digital banking team through the clear communication of strategies, goals and coaching sessions

Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Banking & Finance / Accounting from reputable University.
  • Master’s Degree in a Business or Technology field.
  • Minimum of 8 years financial industry experience and preferably- digital banking
  • 6+ years’ work-experience in digital banking product management and/or consumer-facing digital product in Banks or Fintech institutions.
  • Strong experience in banking, accounting and financial reporting.
  • Strong proficiency in all aspects of corporate finance and all pertinent IFRS and industry regulatory bodies’ rules and regulations.
  • Strong understanding/focus on digital technologies and platform ecosystems and how it’s impacting the Fintech industry
  • Experience in digital business models like e-commerce, B2B, B2C marketplaces.
  • Experience in audits and ability to prepare and interpret audit information and to institute financial policy, procedure and/or operational corrections and modifications.
  • Strong leadership, team building and interpersonal skills.
