Job Description:

  • An industry leader in the finance space is currently seeking a Data Privacy and Security Team Lead to join their team focused on collaborating with business groups and units across the company to implement and manage all aspects of data privacy & security policies, methods and practices for data assets, adhering to applicable regulations/legislative provisions.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Be an effective leader for the data privacy & security functional group
  • Participate in the activities related to development, refinement, operationalization of a robust data privacy & security program that defines, maintains and implements policies and processes that enable consistent, effective privacy practices
  • Participate in the activities related to minimizing risk and ensuring confidentiality of personally identifiable information related to applicable data subjects or data elements.
  • Manage functional group activities: task assignments, workload management & related work as assigned
  • Participate in the implementation of data privacy & security strategies where applicable
  • Manage the processes for investigating and acting on privacy and security complaints
  • Lead assessments into privacy impact and data threat risks, as well as mitigation and remediation across operations and projects
  • Leads the management of all required breach determination and notification processes in line with relevant legislation
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure consistent implementation and compliance to data privacy & security principles, standards and guidelines across business areas 
  • Serve as subject matter expert on data privacy & security standards, principles and guidelines
  • Serve as liaison with relevant regulatory bodies related to data privacy and security
  • Manages the organization and delivery of effective data privacy & security messaging through info sessions relevant to the effective enterprise wide rollout and maintenance of initiatives that impact data privacy & security
  • Manage all documents related to data privacy & security requirements management

  • 6 years’ working experience preferably in data privacy and security related roles
