We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Coordinator, Sample Collection

Summary of Job
- The Sample Collector Coordinator reports to the Assistant Operations Manager of the clinic. S / he will undertake all operational and clerical duties in line with her outline Job description and will be responsible for the smooth running of COVID-19 sample collection.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- To perform this job successfully, s / he must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned:
Administrative Duties:
- Triage of patients requiring COVID-19 tests.
- Creation of patient profile, adequate filling of triage information, and requesting lab tests on an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Creation of sample labels on sample bottles
- Collection of nasopharyngeal and oropharyngeal samples for the COVID-19 test.
- Proper sample handling, cold chain management, and reporting to the laboratory on the number of samples collected.
- Ensuring sample collection logs are accurate and up to date
- Daily reconciliation of collected samples with laboratory
- Resolving all issues related to sample collection and testing
- Managing schedules of sample collectors
- Oversightand supervision of sample collectors, ensuring consistent high-quality service delivery and escalating disciplinary issues of sample collectors to the Line Manager.
- Adheres to the EHA Clinics Code of Conduct as well as ethical standards of the field.
- Other duties as assigned from time to time
Patient & Family Education / Support:
- Provide emotional support and measures to alleviate fear and anxiety.
- Participate in voluntary community health activities to promote, maintain, and restore health and prevent diseases.
- Adheres to Policies and Procedures.
- Adheres to the EHA Clinics Code of Conduct as well as ethical standards of the field.
Qualifications & Training
- Bachelor's degree in a health-related discipline.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology
- Competent use of technology and work tools
- Knowledge of Infection Prevention and Control practices

- Must be able to plan and perform daily activities in an organized manner.

Work Experience:
- Prior experience working in a sample collector or laboratory role
- At least 2 years experience in a supervisory role
