We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Chief Investment Officer

Location: Abuja

Details

  • We are in search for a well-organized and analytical Chief investment Officer (CIO) to manage our client's investment portfolio. In addition, come up with viable short and long-term investment plans and recommendations.
  • The ideal candidate for this position, you will possess an in-depth understanding of all investment policies and guidelines, demonstrate a can do spirit with both strategic leadership, and an excellent communication (written and verbal) and analytical skills.

Responsibilties

  • Establish effective and well-organized investment processes;
  • Write clear and well-informed investment recommendations based on thorough research and analysis;
  • Develop short and long-term investment plans backed up with effective strategy;
  • Provide expert knowledge on all investment and financial activities for project, and manage project portfolio;
  • Oversee all company accounting practices, including accounting departments, preparing budgets, financial reports, tax and audit functions;
  • Direct financial strategy, planning and forecasts;
  • Supervise investment and raise funds for business;
  • Study,analyzes and report on trends, opportunities for expansion and projection of future company growth.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or any related field, complemented by ACCA / CFA, masterТs degree (a plus) with an emphasis on finance.

Experience Requirements

  • A minimum of three (3) years' experience in an investment position or role, handling similar job responsibility as listed in the above job description.

Skills, Abilities and Personality Traits:

  • Strong analytical skills and competence in financial modeling, must be at ease with complex models
  • Excellent command of office tools, in particular Microsoft excel, PowerPoint and word;
  • Competent knowledge of cooperate finance, valuations and accounting;
  • Superior understanding and proficiency of equity investments;
  • Superior understanding of how to find structure and close profitable Tech Enabled investments;
  • Nascent industry/ sector knowledge, understands key industry trends, valuation metrics in selected sectors;
  • Ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner.
  • Shows initiative, and is proactive in all tasks;
  • Demonstrate commitment to ethical standards and has high level of integrity;
  • Experience in capital and fund-raising;
  • Good Leadership, Financial accounting and corporate finance competence;
  • Ability to analyze and convert data to actionable plans;
  • Strategic thinker and proficient in decision-making;
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships;
  • Strong organizational and planning skills;
  • Proven leadership abilities;
  • Outgoing, business-like personality.
