We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Baker

Location: Lagos

Job Brief

  • We are currently searching for skilled, creative bakers who has an understanding of the necessary ingredients and preparation to craft and create bakery products.

Job Responsibilities
The baker will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing daily production fulfillment in Wiremycake bakery
  • Measuring and mixing raw ingredients, and ensuring that all raw and finished goods adhere to quality and food safety standards
  • Providing excellent baked items and service in an efficient, professional manner
  • Designing, executing, and improving recipes, performing quality checks on ingredients and finished products, using icing, glazes, fillings, and decorations to enhance item presentation, and processing orders from customers
  • Performing other duties to ensure that customer needs are satisfied and the bakery is well-stocked and operating smoothly
  • Following the laid down methods and recipes, and ultimately be able to innovate as required
  • Ordering all the ingredients and maintaining adequate stock levels of the same
  • Training production staff who may or may not have any bakery or culinary training
  • The Baker will be required to meet gross profit margins by means of minimizing wastage.
  • The Baker will be expected to have a thorough knowledge of all the products and processes.

Requirements
The minimum qualifications for this position are as follows:

  • Minimum of 5 years culinary experience and or training.
  • Bakery experience preferred.
  • Culinary Degree or relevant experience.
  • Supervisory experience in a bakery
  • Proven experience training other staff in culinary / baking.
